Trufgourmet certifies its black truffle production as organic

The black truffle production company, Tuber Melanosporum, has obtained Organic Production Certification from the Council of Organic Agriculture of Castilla y León (CAECyL).

The organic certification guarantees that we carry out truffle production without the use of pesticides, fertilizers, or chemical products. At Trufgourmet, we don’t use any harmful methods for humans or the ecosystem in any stage of our crop production.

Our goal is to provide our customers with a top-quality product obtained in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

Our plantations are subject to strict controls by CAECyL to ensure this. After a 3-year “conversion” process, this organization has included our company as an organic operator.

This way of working and producing is part of our philosophy and identity. It’s the DNA of our company. We have plantations that total around 5,000 micorrhizal oak trees, which also help with reforestation, soil fertility conservation, and ecosystem balance.

The trees are capable of absorbing CO2 and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In our daily work, we continue to strive for excellence in our product while enjoying and taking care of our natural surroundings.
